Activities at Lake Starnberg

Discover the idyllic Oberambach: Follow a small, hidden junction from the country road on the eastern shore of Lake Starnberg. This path takes you through a small grove and to one of the most beautiful and romantic places at the Bavarian Alpine foothills: the Eco Hotel Schlossgut Oberambach. The magical castle, built in the style of a silk-walled villa with a hipped roof, sits enthroned on a hill above Lake Starnberg, surrounded by nothing but meadows, forests and castle grounds. The horizon offers a view of the mountain panorama and the Zugspitze. In between the giant old trees, you’ll get a glimpse of Lake Starnberg. The most beautiful hiking trails in the Starnberger Fünf-Seen-Land and the longest Nordic walking trail in Germany directly lead past the hotel grounds.

Munich

The state capital, also called “Weltstadt mit Herz”, can be reached from our hotel in about 25 minutes. From Wolfratshausen by S-Bahn “S7” or by car via motorway A95, driveway Münsing towards Munich (about 35 km).

Winter hikes, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and snow hikes will excite you during the winter months. The hiking trails near the hotel are also pleasant to look at when they are covered in snow.
